History of Desa Homestay

Desa Homestay is located at Kampung Tok Sangkut which is 10km from Pasir Mas. It was built on November 27, 2007. It has one room which is 13 x 13sq feet and its located at my mother's house. At the first, I do not have any idea to manage this homestay. Yeah..as a teacher and student, of course I do not have enough time to manage it. But I am always remind to this phrase, 'where there is a will, there is a way' I don't quite know how I'm going to manage this homestay, but where there's a will there's a way!

My mother and her grandchildren Hannan Hadif.
My mother is very kind and caring. She also a good chef of Malay traditional dishes. Normally tourists do not missed her meal and she very friendly with the tourists.
The orchard. Desa Homestay also offer to tourists to explore our orahard which is not far from the homestay. Tourists can plug themself and taste the majestic local fruit.
In front of Desa Hometstay is 'pondok' or shed. Its famous among tourists. This pondok use as a romantic site for lunch with the smootly wing and surrounded by the mangosteen trees.
Here is the room. Desa Homestay offer a confortable bedroom. Tourists also can explore Mazeri's painting as the decoration of the room. Desa Homestay also offer an internet connection--RM2.50 per hour and bycle for tourists who like to explore the village themself.
Em..Desa Homestay! I took this photo 2 week ago. I got a few blogger in my personal blog that they said this photo is very nice and look traditional. I do not know that until I received the comments. Great..it's mean that I can be a photographer. That's one of my interests. Enjoy enjoy to stay at Desa Homestay, Tok Sangkut.
Most of local people do not know the specific location of my village ~ Tok Sangkut (Hanging Tok). Pasir Mas is not popular among tourists. Most of them know well Kota Bharu and beaches. Em..seems that the tourists going to lose something amazing if they do not know the Hanging Village. Yeah..I am not blame other people. So, that's my task to introduce my village to the global stage.
My village and its people are very harmony. They live together with trusting each other and sometimes they make 'bekwah' together. It was a great thing that tourists should know and experince themself. Now with the global communication by internet, its not possible to expose my village to the world. I hope if tourists visit this blog, the Hanging Village become one of their destination in Malaysia. Thank you to being part of our family.
